*UPDATE: Passholder early preview registration has been moved to Monday October 15, 2012 at 12:00 noon*

The newest edition coming to Disney’s Magic Kingdom is the New Fantasyland expansion. This will be the largest expansion in history of the park. The new area will open up in different phases.

Storybook Circus is the first phase (now open) and it includes: The Barnstormer, Dumbo The Flying Elephant, Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station, and Fantasyland Station. Some of the main new attractions will be located in the Enchanted Forest, which is scheduled to open on December 6, 2012. This area will have the Under the Sea~Journey of the Little Mermaid, the Be Our Guest Restaurant, the Enchanted Tales with Belle experience, and Ariel’s Grotto.  The third phase of the land will open in 2013 and will feature the Princess Fairytale Hall and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

I am glad to see the exposure of other Disney classics getting their own attractions in the fantasy park. I am particularly happy to see that Belle and Ariel will have their own area in the expansion. This section of the park will also serve alcohol (without it being a special event) for the first time in the Be Our Guest Restaurant. This addition is causing quite a stir among Disney’s patrons, but I could care less. I am actually glad that they are doing this. It’s only going to be wine and beer and you can’t leave the restaurant with the drinks….so everyone needs to stop being so sensitive…anyway enough of my personal venting…

There will be a special preview for Annual Passholders in November. Click here to register for this event. Registration will open up on Monday, October 8, 2012 around lunch time and will be on a first come-first serve basis.  Hope to see you there……
