Before I made my way over to this one-of-a-kind Disney restaurant, I heard many rave reviews from other Disney Influencers that I truly admire.
But somehow, I still wasn’t convinced that this was one of the best Asian restaurants in Orlando, until I took my first bite which we’ll discuss later in this article.

Now that we know who this incredible master chef is, let’s go through a few things you should know about Morimoto Asia in Disney before you go.
As you approach the stand out building going towards the westside of Disney Springs, you’ll enter into a posh set up of glittering 20-foot-long chandeliers, an intimate sushi bar, Shanghai-inspired posh lounges, private dining spaces for your party, and so much more!
The restaurant is definitely massive with 2-stories overlooking the splendid dining space.
So, if you’re coming in as a small group with no kids or on a solo trip, then I recommend sitting at the sushi bar or in one of the lounges.
Although the feel is sophisticated chic inside of Morimoto, the noise level does takeaway from the intimacy you should be having with your party.

My Final Review of Morimoto Asia Disney Springs
To say that the food here was incredible is an understatement. Now we all have our opinions on what tastes good to each of us, but I can only go by what I personally experienced.
As mentioned earlier in this article, I didn’t quite believe the hype of the other Disney fans and Influencers who visited this place so I wasn’t expecting much.
I was only stopping by to grab some sushi so that I could continue my food tour of Disney Springs that day.
Needless to say, Morimoto Asia was my final stop on my so-called Disney Springs dining tour.
First off, the restaurant itself was stunning and impressive. The grandiose chandeliers made me feel as if I’d stepped inside one of the fanciest dining locations right in the heart of Tokyo.
Since I was coming in at the start of the dinner rush, I opted to dine at the lovely sushi bar that was located on the second floor. I made my way up the grand staircase and was quickly shown to my seat at the quaint bar.
Please Note: The Sushi Bar and the Forbidden Lounge are on the second floor. You can access them by taking the elevator instead of the stairs if you have any mobility issues. The Sushi Bar also doesn’t open until 5 p.m. at time of updating this dining review.
Customer Service
My server gave me such great customer service and explained everything to me. Although I was a little nervous with going all out on some of the sushi, he made me feel comfortable.
He also let me know that if I didn’t like anything that he would quickly take care of it for me.
It made me have much more peace and I was able to take chances on the menu options that I wouldn’t normally do.
The Food is Here!
Now let’s take a journey through my Asian food adventure.
First up was the Bao Buns.
I’m not going to lie, when I first saw the grayish piece of chicken I was like, yeah, I’ll pass.
But since I’d already ordered it and I was in an adventurous mood thanks to the pep talk from my waiter, I decided to take a bite.
The chicken was tender and was not overly season to the point where it would take over the taste of the fluffy Bao Bun. It’s something that I’m glad to have tried and will try again.
Dumplings
Although these were just dumplings, I am so glad that I got them. The outside layer was soft to the touch.
The chopped-up chicken combined with the teriyaki juices burst with each bite complimenting the soft, but firm texture of the dough.
Toro Tartare
I truly love trying different tartare from around the country. This one was actually quite refreshing and seemed to be one of Morimoto’s top selling dishes as that’s what I saw leaving the sushi bar the most.
The Chefs created a unique presentation for me that included dashi soy with crispy shallot, chive and wasabi for me to put on top of my tartare.
Just like you’d expect from any Toro, it was quite buttery, flavorful and having the condiments to join with it made it one of my favorite dishes of the night.
Hipster Power Tip: Your tartare will come with a little spoon for you to scoop your Toro off the center container and is also used to add the side condiments to your bite.
Sushi (The Star of the Show)
This was my first time doing this much sushi and nigiri all at once with all kinds of fish. I was so nervous because I didn’t want to send the sushi back since I was sitting in front of the chef who was making it.
I had so much anxiety of not liking the sushi for the possibility of it tasting too “fishy” or the possibility that I would just want to vomit.
Hey, I’m new to the traditional way of eating sushi so just bear with me.
To my surprise it didn’t taste fishy at all!
It had a soy-sauce hint to it and the natural wasabi addition helped fuse all the dishes together in a harmonious balance. I will definitely get this again if I can get my same sushi chef 🙂
Rolls
Now for the BEST part of my dining experience. The Spicy Tuna Roll…
Because I had been enjoying all my food that was offered with nothing offensive coming my way, I thought I’d finish my meal with a standard sushi roll.
After all, Morimoto Asia only has a few basic rolls which at first, I was a bit annoyed with because I wanted the many options with all kinds of add-ons that we’re used to in the standard Japanese restaurants here in America.
I am so glad they only have a few options because they have perfected them!
When I popped the Spicy Tuna Roll inside my mouth I was overcome with emotion and I am being so honest right now no matter how corny it may sound. It was at that point that I realized I’d never had any good sushi before.
The tuna had been marinated to perfection which left it with a butter, creamy finish and an explosion of delicious flavors inside of my mouth. However, the rice was the super star!
The rice was so freaking good that I now find it hard to eat the regular rice in my everyday life. It was fluffy, buttery, and it had it own unique flavor that’s truly hard to describe.
I also got the Salmon Roll and the Yellow Tail Roll which made me so happy inside as well since they too were packed with mouthwatering flavors.
Although the rolls may have seemed so insignificant in size, they packed a big punch and made me realize the effects of what great food can really do for you.
I will never be the same after trying these dishes.
Sake Sangria
This sangria will have you feeling nice and cozy and it’s a great option to compliment your dinner. Not only was it refreshing, but it was fruity without being overly sweet like some sangrias are.
This is my go-to drink at Morimoto Asia especially on those days when I truly need to unwind.
It comes with sake, light white wine, plum wine, Asian pears, apple, plum, and tangerine juice!
If you really want to get more out of your money, then I recommend the carafe size especially if you have another person in your party. You guys can share it and save money on drinks.
Lychee Martini
Because I was at Morimoto Asia purely on research (wink, wink), I had to get another drink to give you more information on the dining and drinking options for you.
This drink comes with Absolut elyx and soho lychee liqueur. It’s another great option just in case the sangria is not your type of beverage.
If I had to choose between the Lychee Martini and the Sake Sangria, I’d go with the sangria each and every time.

Is Morimoto Asia the Best Sushi in Orlando?
On my research adventures across Orlando, I still find Morimoto Asia to house some of the best sushi in Orlando. It comes in at my number two spot next to the Kadence restaurant.
Overall, Morimoto Asia is my go-to restaurant in Disney Springs. Not only am I a fan of Asian cuisine, I truly love the feeling that I get when I am sitting at the sushi bar watching the chefs perform magic and enjoying my delicious meal and drinks.
If I could change one thing about this restaurant, it would be the noise level. But since the food is wonderful, I can get pass that challenging aspect of this dining location.
