What to Wear in October to Disney World for Women
Ladies, in October, Orlando really starts to cool off.
It’s nothing dramatic- there will still definitely be some hotter days walking around the theme parks.
BUT the nights do usually get cooler, and overall, the temp drops juuuuuust a little bit.
And in Orlando, we’ll take it!
Plan to wear short-sleeves, comfortable leggings or shorts, and maybe one long-sleeve shirt just in case.
My best hack for packing for these in-between months like October, is to always bring a lightweight sweater or jacket that you can throw on when the nights get chillier.
But don’t pack exclusively long-sleeve items or you may have to make a trip to the nearest Disney merchandise store.

What to Wear in October to Disney World for Men
For men, I suggest wearing comfortable athletic materials to the parks during the month of October.
This promises that you’ll be able to walk around all day and climb on and off of rides with ease.
But the same goes for what I suggested for the ladies. You should pack short-sleeves in anticipation that it will be warm every day.
Then, bring a lightweight jacket of some sort to throw on if needed. That’s the ultimate preparation!
Don’t forget to wear comfortable walking shoes, sneakers, or sandals. You’ll thank me later!
Walt Disney World Weather in October
So, when you’re deciding what to pack for Disney in October, you’ve got to think about the weather.
Keep in mind that the weather predictions do change, so you’ll want to keep an eye on the weather reports even up to a day or two ahead of your vacation.
The highs for Orlando are typically round the mid 80’s. The lows are anywhere around low 70s to high 60s.
That’s chilly in Florida!
October wraps up hurricane season, so don’t rule out rain as a possibility. That being said, so long as you remember some ponchos, you’ll be ready for anything.

Best Accessories for Your Disney World Outfit
Try being thematic! Add to your look with a little pumpkin flair for Halloween. It is October, after all.
You won’t want to forget the #necesaryaccesories and I think that includes a disposable camera for capturing memories, hand sanitizer (for clean hands!), and your cutest pair of sunnies.
That Florida sun is bright, folks!
But what about accessories for style, as opposed to just functionality?
I hear you loud and clear.
Rock some Fall or Halloween-themed earrings. This is your chance! Or maybe you have one of those iconic Goofy hats with the super long ears?
Dress to impress when you hit the Disney Parks, because at Disney, anything creative and fun impresses guests and Cast Members alike.
Some princes and princesses like to wear a crown or tiara through the parks. Whatever makes YOU feel royal and super special is what you should do.
Call it your Halloween costume, or just a Tuesday. But whatever you do, just don’t leave the fun accessories at home!
Disney Bounding in October for Halloween
What better than the month of October to Disney Bound as Jack Skellington?
For all the fans of Disney’s classic: The Nightmare Before Christmas, this is your season to shine.
Go for some black and white stripes. A blazer might be too hot for the parks, but even a t-shirt or top of some sort with black and white stripes will give the Skellington vibe.
You could even switch it up and wear the stripes on your pants, knee socks, or overalls. Make sure you wear black shoes to complete the Disney Bounding outfit.
You can even find some awesome Jack Skellington-themed jewelry online. Want to really pull off the look? Maybe add some black lipstick!

What to Pack for Disney World in October
So, we’ve given you our best tips for your Disney World packing list…
But you don’t want to forget that October continues Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival.
One of the BEST Disney festivals in my opinion!
If you’re headed to EPCOT to enjoy the cacophony of flavors available to you, be prepared with walking shoes and a reusable water bottle.
This way you don’t constantly have to buy a beverage at every booth! It saves you money and time, so you can enjoy the festival to the fullest.

Top 5 Tips For Choosing the Best Disney World Outfit When Packing For October
When you’re choosing the best Disney World outfits you possible can for your upcoming trip this October, you want to remember that weather is unpredictable.
Check out my best tips for you to keep in mind:
- Cute fall-colored knee socks really dress up shorts or a skirt and add a Fall-themed touch.
- The weather could be warm during the day and cool at night, so always pack a light jacket or sweatshirt!
- Don’t wear too much jewelry. You always run the risk of losing it on fast rides, and on warmer days the jewelry can rub against your skin, which can be painful!
- There’s nothing more classic than a Mickey or Minnie Disney Bound. Consider going red, white, and black one day. If your goal is to Disney Bound as Minnie, go for red bows, polka dots, or true Minnie Mouse ears. If your goal is Mickey: wear some yellow socks or shoes, and definitely rock the Mickey ears. They’re just too classic.
- Last but not least: Dress comfortably! We love wearing leggings to the parks. It’s often perfect for both warm and chilly days. When in doubt, go for athleisure wear. Disney Parks can be a workout!
