The year is starting off right and as mentioned in my resolution list, I am truly determined to complete each goal this time around.
Whelp, it’s a new year again and like most people I’ve made resolutions for 2014; however, my resolutions involve animals of Africa, food from France, and a voyage on the Titanic ThemeParkHipster style!
I am determined to conquer my ThemePark resolutions this year. Last year I procrastinated half way through, which led to my disappointing letdown of the 2013 goals. But Hipsters please trust me when I say that I will do it this year…seriously, I’m for real (I write this as I think of the readers laughing at my failed attempt to convince the masses of my determination).
Hola, Amigos! Let’s take a trip to the beautifully diverse country of Mexico, but we won’t be leaving Florida for this visit. EPCOT will teleport us to the mystical mountainous country by the imaginative magic of Walt Disney. Here you can hear the mariachi band performing in the background, taste exquisite food that will allure your taste buds, sip on tantalizing tequila, and have a watery adventure with the Three Caballeros in the twilight of the Plaza de los Amigos.
Dessert overload with sweetness swirling throughout my palate, sugarplums dancing on my plates, and divine nectar of the vine to quench my thirst were all a part of my dining experience during my 3D Disney’s Dessert Discovery adventure at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival.
What do you call an experience globetrotting the many cuisines of multiple countries in one day??? I call it Tasting My Way Around the World at EPCOT! This year’s event was really peaceful and enjoyable. I guess it was due to the fact that I’d tasted most of the items from previous years so this time I was able to focus solely on trying new dishes, new cocktails, and new seminars.
Today I made an unexpected trip to Walt Disney World. I’ve been going through the unforeseeable trials of life lately and this place is truly my own refuge from the harsh realities of this world. I call it my personal Therapist. Whenever I see the “Welcome to Walt Disney World” sign that greets me at the entrance, my whole mood changes and I began to perk up.
I had the pleasure of attending the 2013 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, which actually turned out to be one of my best times at the park. The cooler temperature was balanced by the soft kisses of the Florida sun on my skin. Immediately upon entering EPCOT I was greeted by the beloved faces of the Disney brand enjoying they’re rendition of a colorful springtime bar-b-que.
I’m a Florida girl, always and forever. That’s why my first visit to Gatorland this past Sunday reminded me of why I love being a Floridian and why I miss and reminisce about the original Theme Parks of central Florida. Growing up I would see gators all of the time …
