SeaWorld is definitely strict about the height requirements. This is to make sure that they are able to keep everyone safe inside of the park.
What is the Average Height Requirement for SeaWorld Orlando Rides?
Generally, the SeaWorld ride height requirements are between 42″ (inches) and 54″ (inches) tall, which is pretty common for most thrill rides in the country.
You’ll also notice the ride restrictions at the entrance of each attraction.
Now, let’s go through the SeaWorld height requirements for each ride that are listed below:

1. Pipeline: The Surf Coaster: 54″ (137 cm) or taller.
This first-of-its-kind surf coaster launches you 110 feet up as you twist and turn catching all of the powerful waves at 60 miles per hour!
2. Ice Breaker™: 48″ (122 cm) or taller.
Getting its name from the icy Arctic, Ice Breaker is SeaWorld’s first launch coaster and Florida’s steepest beyond vertical drop attraction at 93 feet tall with a 100 degree angle.
You should know that guests between 48″ and 54″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion (a guest who is 14 years of age or older).
3. Journey to Atlantis®: 42″ (107 cm) or taller.
The Journey to Atlantis is a hybrid water ride, roller coaster that shows you a different side of Atlantis– a dark side.
According to SeaWorld, guests between 42″ and 48″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion (a guest who is 14 years of age or older).

4. Kraken®: 54″ (137 cm) or taller.
The Kraken is Orlando’s only floorless roller coaster, immediately beating every other coaster on the thrill scale…at least, in the state of Florida.
5. Infinity Falls™: 42″ (107 cm) – 77″ (196 cm).
You get to hold on to a raft for dear life while the currents push you downriver towards a 40 foot drop.
Plus, you’ll see lush greenery adventure. It’s almost like being in a jungle safari.
6. Sky Tower: No Limit.
Get a bird’s-eye view of SeaWorld on this 400-foot Sky Tower that has been the icon of the park for decades!
Guests under 48″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion. Hand held infants are permitted to ride with a supervising companion.
7. Manta®: 54″ (137 cm) or taller.
Manta is a high-thrill SeaWorld roller coaster that turns you upside-down during a nosedive from 140 feet. And that is just the beginning.
There are many, many more twists, turns, drops, and dives to come as you literally glide like an actual Manta!
8. Mako™: 54″ (137 cm) or taller.
Mako is named after the fastest shark in the ocean, and it lives up to the name.
It zooms over water at 73 mph for 4,760 feet.
9. Paddle Boats: 56″ (142 cm) or taller.
This is your chance to take a relaxing boat tour around the beautiful lake at SeaWorld Orlando.
Guests under 56″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
11. Penguin Trek: 42 inches or taller
Get ready to go on an Arctic adventure on the brand-new Penguin Trek roller coaster that opened this past summer at SeaWorld Orlando.
With a height requirement of just 42 inches, it’s a great stepping stone between kiddie coasters and more intense rides.
What sets Penguin Trek apart is its immersive theming. You’ll zip through indoor and outdoor sections, feeling like you’re on a real Antarctic adventure.
Trust me, the air-conditioned queue is a lifesaver on those scorching Florida days!
Here you’ll hop aboard your snowmobile as you and your team race along the icy cavern going up to 43 miles per hour!
10. Sesame Street Land Ride Height Restrictions (Starting at 36 inches)
Here you’ll get to go on a journey through the famous neighborhood of Sesame Street.
While there, you’ll enjoy a variety of rides with some of the most beloved characters.
- Big Bird’s Twirl ‘N’ Whirl AND Elmo’s Choo Choo Train: 36″ (91 cm) or taller. Guests below 36″ must be accompanied by a supervising companion (Hand held infants may not ride these rides).
- Abby’s Flower Tower AND Cookie Drop! Slimey’s Slider: 42″ (107 cm) or taller. Guests shorter than 42″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion (Hand held infants may not ride these rides).
- Super Grover’s Box Car Derby: 38″ (97 cm) or taller with supervision companion. Guests who are between 38″ and 40.9″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion.
- Sunny Day Carousel: 42″ (107 cm) or taller. Guests shorter than 42″ tall must be accompanied by a supervising companion (Hand held infants may ride if they can sit on the bench with a supervising companion).

5 Pro Tips for Visiting SeaWorld Orlando for the First Time
Now that we have all of the SeaWorld Orlando ride height restrictions, let’s go through a few tips to help you have a better visit!
1. Know Your Height
Measure your child’s height (and yours if you’re unsure) before you get to SeaWorld so that you know which rides you all will be able to enjoy.
2. Start Early
Getting to SeaWorld at the opening is the best way to get in some of your must-do rides before the crowd arrives.
3. Make Time For The Shows And Special Events
Keep an eye out for the shows at SeaWorld Orlando because you really really don’t want to miss seeing the amazing animals perform mind-blowing tricks!

4. Get Your Tickets in Advance
You’ll save more money by buying your tickets online directly from SeaWorld or from Groupon.
They usually have discount deals happening so you’ll want to start there instead of paying full price at the gate.
