Now whether you are going to Universal Orlando by yourself or with your family, below are the guidelines on what you can expect when it comes to getting military discounts on your Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure tickets.

Universal Orlando Military Discounts
Universal Orlando offers specially priced tickets to active duty, retired military and Department of Defense personnel.
Be sure to visit their military website to see all of the discounts available for you.
According to Universal Orlando, there are specially priced tickets offered to Authorized Military Ticket & Travel offices at military bases around the country for re-sale to active duty, retired military and Department of Defense personnel.
Ticket pricing is determined by your Authorized Military Ticket & Travel office.
Who Qualifies for the Military Discount at Universal Orlando?
Active duty military with valid military IDs and other eligible service members can receive a discount when purchasing multi-day tickets at the front gate tickets windows at Universal Orlando Resort or with an Authorized Military Ticket & Travel office.
What’s an Eligible Service Member?
- Active Duty (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, Reservists) and spouses
- Retired Military service members and spouses
- Department of Defense Civilians

The options below are currently available to use through 12/20/2024 according to Universal starting at $210.
2-Park Military 2024 Freedom Pass
- Gives you one (1) guest admission to BOTH Universal Studios Florida, AND Universal Islands of Adventure theme parks on the same day
- Ticket is valid for use November 16, 2023 through and including December 20, 2024.
- Expires in full December 20, 2024
3-Park Military 2024 Freedom Pass
- Gives you one (1) guest admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, AND Universal Volcano Bay theme parks on the same day
- Ticket is valid for use November 16, 2023 through and including December 20, 2024.
- Expires in full December 20, 2024

Universal Studios Florida is open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the regular season.
Hours may change based on the busyness of the park.

One of the best Universal Studios Orlando tips that I can give you is to start at Diagon Alley first.
This Harry Potter-inspired area will fill up quickly making the line for the two attractions (Escape from Gringotts and Ollivanders wand experience) extremely long.

You Should also Know What You Can and Cannot Bring inside Universal Studios
To prevent any embarrassment at the security checkpoints, I’ve listed the items you are able to take with you inside of the Universal Orlando parks.
Please keep in mind that Universal is very strict on what it allows you to bring.
Acceptable items:
- Bottled water
- Small snacks that do not require heating
- Any food required for medical purposes and medically indicated nutritional supplements
- Food required for special dietary needs
- Baby food/baby formula
- Soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5″ wide x 6″ high x 6″ deep
Prohibited items:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Picnic lunches
- Food that requires heating or refrigeration
- Glass containers
- Hard-sided coolers
- Soft-sided coolers larger than 8.5″ wide x 6″ high x 6″ deep
- Suitcases and bags with wheels
- Folding chairs
- Clothing with offensive language or content
- Any clothing that represents someone as emergency personnel
- Weapons of any kind

I think is ashame that Universal Studios Orlando doesn’t offer discount tickets to the theme parks for Veterans that have served and have an honorable discharge!!
For Retired Military service members and spouses, Universal does offer a discount on certain tickets. You can call (877) 801-9720 to see if you’ll be able to get a deal on your tickets. I hope this helps 🙂
