What to Know Before You Go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Now that you know what to expect in Harry Potter World, let’s go over a few questions that you may have for your visit.
Are Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade the Same?
Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley are definitely NOT the same. While they are both part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter they have completely different unforgettable experiences.
It is important to remember that they are in two separate parts of Universal Orlando Resort.
The whimsical village of Hogsmeade is located in Islands of Adventure, while Diagon Alley is in Universal Studios Florida.
So you will need a 2-Park Ticket to enjoy both sides on the same day.
How is Hogsmeade Different From Diagon Alley?
Hogsmeade transports you into the realm of living out your muggle dreams through Hogwarts experiences.
Snow-topped roofs with charming shops and streets of cobblestone immerse you into the enchanted Wizarding World of Harry Potter and quaint British village vibes.
While Diagon Alley is a wizarding secret world bustling full of shops, eateries, and a hub of everything you could ever dream of with magic and thrills around every corner.

Do You Visit Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley First?
Heading to the village of Hogsmeade first is by far the smartest choice!
This gives you a chance to get a head start on the most popular rides leaving you the rest of the day to explore the wizarding world.
However, for Potterfans who want to replicate Harry’s experience and don’t mind waiting in some of the longest lines in the world, Diagon Alley is where you want to start your day.
It really depends on your personal preference. But why not beat the rush and take advantage of every minute within this enchanting world?
Can You Walk From Hogsmeade to Diagon Alley?
I have saved one of the best experiences for last when it comes to Universal Hogsmeade vs Diagon Alley.
Why walk all that way from Universal Islands of Adventure to Universal Studios to get to Diagon Alley when they are connected by the Hogwarts Express train ride?
Yes, you will need the park-park ticket but it is one of the must-do attractions at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
This scenic ride will journey you from the two magical realms between Kings Cross Station to Hogsmeade Station with each direction bringing a different adventure.
It is an absolute must full of wizarding surprises and familiar landscapes bringing the pages of Harry Potter to life right before your eyes.

Overall, which is better: Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade?
Deciding between Universal Diagon Alley vs Hogsmeade depends on which magical universe of Wizarding World of Harry Potter you want to step into.
From a cozy snow-covered village to a lively wizarding shopping district of hidden treasures and alleys. They are both enchanting realms full of awe and wonder.
