Battle of the Coasters! Iron Gwazi vs. Steel Vengeance: Which is the BEST?

Challenge of the Day: Iron Gwazi vs Steel Vengeance!

In today’s episode of battle of the coasters, I am pitting two coasters of high quality up against one another.

In one corner, we have Iron Gwazi, a crown jewel of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay that has a storied history.

Up next in the other, we have Steel Vengeance, a big draw to visitors of the famous Cedar Point amusement park.

Both roller coasters started off as treasured wooden coasters for their respective parks.

But eventually, would be touched by the gracious and talented hands over at Rocky Mountain Construction, or RMC.

In time, both would be seen as rejuvenated and revitalized as coasters to be respected in their category.

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Figment Topiary

Figment Ride at Epcot: The Purple Dragon Who Sparked YOUR Imagination!

Recently, the popularity of Figment at Epcot became the topic of global speculation, leading to some slight ridicule of adult Disney fans as the world could take a glimpse into the Disney fan bubble.

Publications like CNN and platforms like Twitter and TikTok showcased hours long lines during Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts for what?

A Figment shaped popcorn bucket filled with rainbow flavored popcorn.

These buckets started memes and were being sold on eBay for hundreds of dollars for an item that cost no more than $20. But this raised the question to outsiders of the fandom, “Who is Figment?”

Epcot purists and Disney fans alike debate about Journey Into Imagination, home to the purple dragon.

One thing we usually all agree on is that Figment is a delight and that his legacy in Epcot is important.

And yes, the Figment ride is STILL at Epcot…

Join me as I dive into the history of Figment the purple dragon who has sparked the imagination of people for generations!

Mr Toad's Wild Ride Attraction Entrance at Disneyland

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland: History You DIDN’T KNOW

Let me preface this article by stating that Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride is one of my all-time favorite Fantasyland attractions!

I was very excited to rewatch the film for the purpose of this article.

This classic attraction at Disneyland is the only one of its kind in any Disney Park. Originally, there was a second incarnation located in Magic Kingdom and was closed in 1998.

Currently, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh sits on the grave.

It was an opening day attraction when Disneyland opened in 1955. Today, it’s not the same as it once was.

Are you familiar with the ride?

Some people like to joke and call it “The Hell Ride” because of the….ending.

Don’t worry, it will all make sense as you read on!

Howard Johnson Inn Near Disneyland Hotel Review with Victoria Wade

REVIEW: Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Waterpark (Hotels Near Disneyland)

During a recent solo trip out to Disneyland Resort to later meet with a friend, I was given a chance to stay at the Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Waterpark right down the street from the theme parks!

The Disneyland Resort suffers from being surrounded by off property resorts, highways, restaurants and tourist traps.

Walt despised the fact that Disneyland’s success caused businesses to flock to the area and essentially entrap them, not to mention the ongoing battle with the city of Anaheim to expand isn’t helping.

At the same time, over the years, Disneyland has made it a destination for premium or lower/middle class families and solo travelers alike and so some have had to make the choice to go to Good Neighbor Hotels nearby.

There are so many options in the area to choose from though, how do you decide?

Disney made it a bit easier with their “Good Neighbor ” hotel program that features hotels vetted and approved by Disney themselves to stay with based on a specific criterion.

Fortunately, Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground is among the Good Neighbor Hotel list and I’m excited to share what they offer and my experience.

One of the questions you may have for your upcoming trip is: Where are the best places to eat at Disneyland on a budget?

Don’t worry, I got you!

Planning a trip and actually going to the Disneyland Resort is expensive.

There are a ton of ways to cut down on costs, like staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel and walking to the parks each morning.

Another easy way to save money is to eat at some of Disneyland’s more budget-friendly restaurants.

These locations are scattered around Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

They offer a good food, large portions, and sometimes free soda refills at a cheaper cost than some of the other restaurants at the theme parks.

These seven budget-friendly restaurants are all considered quick-service restaurants, but that just means you can take your lunch or dinner with you and find the best spots in the park to dine. (Looking at you patio space near Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe.)
