1. Tron Lightcycle Run (Magic Kingdom)
Tron Lightcycle Run is one of the most popular attractions at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World and to me it’s always an exhilarating adventure like no other in this park.
As you approach Tomorrowland, you’ll see this high-speed coaster taking adult riders through the digital frontier inspired by Disney’s Tron franchise.
And of course, to match the TRON theme, the motorbikes are designed to look similar to the vehicles from the film. Making it one of the best rides at Disney World for adults!
What to Expect on This Disney World Ride
The ride’s sleek, futuristic design and innovative technology immerse you in the heart-pounding action of a race on iconic lightcycles.
With an impressive height of 78 feet and a track length of 3,169 feet, Tron Lightcycle Run is one of the tallest and longest coasters at Walt Disney World.
But don’t get too excited, Disney is not really know for their roller coasters (just saying…).
Once you board, you’ll get your own lightcycle vehicles right before you launch into a high-speed race through the neon-lit grid, twisting and turning at breathtaking speeds.
Hipster Power Tip: Use the Test Seat at the attraction entrance. Guests have had some issues with boarding due to being unable to fit properly in the vehicle.
Why We Love Tron Lightcycle Run
Personally, I love the attraction’s immersive theming and the cool things that you get to see in the queue (I don’t want to ruin the surprise).
Despite its towering presence and cutting-edge design, Tron Lightcycle Run remains accessible to guests through the virtual queue system or Lightning Lane (at this time).
This can be accessed via the My Disney Experience app.
The Virtual Queue allows you to secure your spot on the ride without the need for traditional standby lines, ensuring a smoother and more efficient experience.
It’s helpful and annoying at the same time, especially if you can’t get a Boarding Pass at the 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. drop times.
What is the Tron Lightcycle Run height restriction?
The current height restriction for TRON Lightcycle/Run at Disney is 48 inches. You can get all the Disney height restrictions here.
