There is more than meets the eye when it comes to the scrumptious food offerings from quick service to sit down locations.
The park serves up a wide variety of different food types including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and so much more!

1. Berk’s Great Bear Hot Dog
Starting us off is the Berk’s Hot Dog stand located nearby the Fahrenheit coaster.
At this stand you can expect foot long hot dog combos and beverages named after signature rides within the park.
During the special Halloween and winter seasons, you can find some holiday themed offerings here as well.
Best Hot Dogs on The Menu at Hersheypark
- Regular Hersheypark Hot Dog
- The Coaster Wild Mouse Hot Dog
- Coaster Wildcat’s Revenge Hot Dog
- The Coaster Dog Great Bear (most popular on the menu)
Why We Love This Food at Hersheypark
The Great Bear Dog is topped with melted cheddar cheese, chili and bacon bits which is perfect for a summer day and will keep you filled for a good chunk of your park day.
Wildcat’s Revenge Hot Dog is topped with sweet and spicy marmalade and potato sticks while the Wild Mouse Hot Dog features melted cheddar and shredded cheese along with swiss cheese!
But the must-do in my opinion is the Great Bear Hot Dog combined with a Pepsi slush! Making it one of the best things to eat at Hersheypark.

2. Chickie’s & Pete’s Crabfries
This next one on the wish list has two locations throughout the park: Midway America and Pioneer Frontier.
Chickie’s & Pete’s is one of the popular stops due to its famous Crabfries.
Now I am biased as I’m a Maryland local but nonetheless these are extremely good fries and you get a decent sized portion when you order.
Why We Love This Food at Hersheypark
The Crabfries are seasoned well and topped with Old Bay seasoning with a special cheese dipping sauce to compliment it.
Here you can also get 3 different types of cheesesteaks and 3 different types of wings.
You can choose from a standard Philly Cheesesteak, a Chicken Cheesesteak or the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak.
With the wings, you can get them plain, dry rub or smothered in good ole buffalo sauce!
This place is a great stop for a filling meal or if you want something that can be split between 2 people.
3. The Smiling Taco-ria
Located at the Boardwalk Water Park section, meaning this offering is only available when the water park is open, you will find a beach inspired taqueria!
Here you will find that they used ingredients inspired by the shore and that will create mouthwatering delectable food on the go!
Why We Love This Food at Hersheypark
You can take your taco up a notch by adding whatever toppings fits your fancy.
My personal go-to is the Doritos Walking Taco with beef, cheese, lettuce, sour cream and salsa.
Guacamole is a topping option too but I prefer without. Other Walking Taco options include Fritos and Tostitos, if you are catching the chip pattern haha!
Walking Tacos are quickly becoming a new amusement/theme park offering but I’ll let your taste buds see why its turning into such a popular favorite!
It’s definitely some of the best food at Hersheypark that you must try.

4. The Chocolatier- Fun Wheel Appetizer
Next one our list is a new addition to the park, The Hersheypark Chocolatier Restaurant!
This full service restaurant is located in Chocolatetown on the upstairs level of the Hersheypark Supply Co.
Park Admission isn’t needed to dine here but a reservation is highly recommended.
I was able to do a review of the restaurant last fall if you want to take a more in-depth look at the restaurant’s offerings.
But for now, I am going to focus on one very special appetizer on the menu, The Ferris Wheel Sampler.
Why We Love This Food at Hersheypark
The Chocolatier Restaurant is a testament to the park’s past and present and celebrates the legacy of the founder, Milton S. Hershey.
It features great views of the park from the patio and most of the food offers a special hint of chocolate. Along with this, you can expect limited seasonal dishes year round!
With the Ferris Wheel Sampler, you will be able to try a few of the restaurant’s best appetizers and its great for sharing with a large party.
You can expect to receive Hershey’s Chocolate BBQ Chicken Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, Classic Chicken Tenders, Cheesy Corn Dip and Soft Pretzel Dippers served on a ferris wheel similar to the fun wheel attraction in the park.
This appetizer certainly turns heads when its being brought to your table!
5. King Size Milkshake from Simply Chocolate
Another personal favorite of mine on this list is the King Size Milkshakes from Simply Chocolate in Founders Way.
If you are looking to try that signature Hershey’s Chocolate, this is the place to go.
Why We Love This Food at Hersheypark
Here you can try milkshakes, ice cream and sundaes featuring the world famous Turkey Hill Ice Cream.
The most popular is the huge, and I’m not exaggerating, award winning King Size Shakes.
Occasionally, you will find that they have specialty shakes for the holidays but the standard shakes are the Cookies and Cream, Reeses and the new Wildcat’s Revenge King shakes.
These Hersheypark milkshakes are topped with a wide variety of toppings and full sized treats including:
- Chocolate covered pretzel sticks
- Brownies
- Cupcakes
- Candy bars (and more)
I would recommend this one for sharing unless you feel you’re up to this chocolatey challenge.
The size may be intimidating but they are big in flavor too!

6. Funnel Cake- Founders Way by Shorty’s
Literally no trip to Hersheypark is complete without a stop at Funnel Cake- Founders way by Shorty’s!
Why We Love This Food at Hersheypark
If you are looking for a classic funnel cake, you’ll find it but…
… your jaw will drop at the plethora of funnel cake and decadent options available!
I’m sure this will get you in the right mind to try something outside of the norm.
My person go-to is the Strawberries and Cream Funnel Cake, topped with strawberries, whipped cream and powdered sugar, not too messy and classic enough!
But you will want to feast your eyes on the other Hersheypark funnel cake flavors including:
- Salted Caramel
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup
- S’mores
- Flutter Nutter
- Cinnamon Sugar
Not to mention the Deep-Fried Oreos and Peanut Butter Cups, which are usually my other go-to from this stand when I want something sweet and quick!
These delicious delights will give you something familiar with that good ole amusement park flair. Making it some of the best food at Hersheypark
7. Los Tres Cubanos Empanada Food Truck
This final offering is located at the entrance to the Boardwalk but luckily for you, its open with the rest of the park and not just when the water park is open.
Los Tres Cubanos Empanada Food Truck is brand new to the park as of the 2022 season and was a hit with visitors and locals alike.
I was glad to see the park open up in their food variety with this food truck.
Why We Love This Food at Hersheypark
Here you can grab a serving of three decently sized empanadas with the following fillings of your choosing:
- Beef
- Chicken
- Veggie
- Guava and Cheese
You’ll be able to grab water too but this is the truck’s specialty.
The dishes are yummy, filling and great for on the go or if you are waiting in a long line for a roller coaster such as Fahrenheit that’s near by.
