In 2018, park officials announced that Jurassic Park: The Ride would be closed down to be re-themed.

The team worked with the director and producer of the 2015 film, while finding ways to blend elements of the old ride with the new theme.

As soon as Stephen Spielberg gave the green light to the idea, the team jumped right in to finish up the ride before summer hit.

The awesome folks at Industrial Light and Magic teamed up with Universal Creative to create a digital version of the Mosasaurus from the movie.

The four walls give off this cool 3D tank vibe.

It also makes the stuff in the front zoom by way quicker than what’s in the back, which totally makes the Mosasaurus look real.

Plus, just like in the movie, the new dino animatronics are way bigger and now they move way smoother than the old ones.

The new version of the attraction, Jurassic World: The Ride, would debut in July 2019. To this day, it continues to be extremely popular with visitors.

When you head up a hill, you get an awesome view of this huge Mosasaurus Aquarium Observatory.

As you step into a green, tropical oasis, you spot some more dinosaurs, and things are pretty chill… for the moment.

You’ll stumble upon Predator Cove, where you’ll see the mess the Indominus Rex has caused after busting out of its enclosure.

Eventually, you overhear that everyone is being called back as you ride by a destroyed gyosphere and a pair of dinosaurs squabbling over a clothing item from their most recent victim.

Not to worry, Claire Dearing comes on a monitor to reassure your safety, only to be cut off and spot the Indominus Rex spying on you from a hole in a wall nearby.

Owen sends Blue the Raptor to help but escape seems near impossible as we see a raptor holding onto some destroyed wires and a dinosaur spitting its poisonous venom at riders.

Blue eventually gets to riders and sends them to an exit only to be blocked by the Indominus Rex.
