What To Wear In June To Disney World For Women
The best part about traveling to Orlando in the Summertime, even the early Summertime, is that the Florida sun is shining and you can expect warm sunshine all day long.
For this reason, you want to make sure you’re dressed in a way that prepares for that anticipated heat.
Go for tank tops, shorts, and even skorts!
Yes, skorts still exist. They’re having a moment, right now!
Best Fabrics for the Summer at Disney World
The best fabrics I can suggest to you are fitness-wear materials, i.e. anything you can pack that is made of polyester. Preferably any athletic options that are moisture-wicking!
The reason I suggest this, is because you’re going to sweat. It’s just a fact.
So, you want to make sure that you have comfortable, stretchy materials on, that won’t rub against your skin or be uncomfortable, but also fabric that will dry quickly.
There’s a lot of rides at Disney World that involve water, so these fitness fabrics come in handy on those rides as well!

Other suggestions:
- Leggings
- T-shirts
- Crop-tops
- Light sundresses (wearing tights underneath are a good idea)
- Quality socks and tennis shoes
The best shoes are either athletic shoes (because you will be walking a lot) or otherwise comfortable, supportive sandals. This could be Chacos, Birkenstocks, etc.
Supportive footwear is huge when going to Disney World. You’re walking so much and climbing stairs, etc. You can thank me later!

What To Wear In June To Disney World For Men
The same rules apply for everyone:
- Wear breathable fabrics!
- Light t-shirts!
- Moisture-wicking shorts!
Consider ventilated button downs and high-quality socks to protect your feet in whatever supportive shoes you pack.

Sandals are a great option, as long as you can walk long distances in them, comfortably.
A lot of guys love to wear ball caps or sunglasses on their head, but bear in mind that these will easily fly off on rides (especially roller coasters!)
So, just be mindful of what you should either not wear, or pass off to someone in your group who may not be riding with you, so that you don’t lose a hat!
It happens all the time.
Also, don’t forget your swim trunks!
June is a perfect time to jump in the pool at whichever Disney World resort you’re staying at.
Even if it’s not a Disney World resort, the pool will be cool and refreshing!

Walt Disney World Weather In June
June is officially Summertime. Orlando’s summers are some of the hottest you can experience. Whew!
The typical highs are in the high 80’s and low 90’s. It can always vary, but this is a good expectation to have. Lows will stay around 70’s.
But, again, this could certainly vary during your stay. Keep that in mind.
Always check the weather in the weeks leading up to your vacation, for a better idea. But for now, that should give you a good place to start.
The only times you would really want a light sweater or sweatshirt would be *maybe* in the evenings. Sometimes there’s a light, cool evening breeze (but rarely unless it’s about to rain or a storm is coming in).
Also, there’s always the chance that a restaurant or store you walk into could have the AC going pretty high, so a light layer is never a bad idea to bring along.
Just don’t pile on the jackets. Save that suitcase space for souvenirs!

Rainy Days at Disney World
The other potential weather you want to be prepared for is that occasional chance of rain. It’s not common, but also not impossible.
If you happen to have some rain during your trip, here’s something else to wear for your Disney World trip in June: a rain jacket & rain-resistant shoes.
Don’t be like everyone else who doesn’t pack a rain jacket, and then rushes for the closest gift shop to buy a poncho! Come prepared.
They even make packable rain jackets, which may be your best bet, because they won’t take up much room in your bag!
Don’t pack your nice flats, loafers, or any shoes that you can’t easily replace if they get wet.
Consider that anything could happen, and you just might get caught in a bit of rain. Prepare in advance!

3 Best Accessories For Your June Disney World Outfit
So, we’ve discussed some ideas for your Disney packing list, but what about accessories?
1. Mickey Ears
Well, obviously your look wouldn’t be complete without a pair of the classic black Mickey ears.
Everyone likes to get wild with the sparkles, which we love. But, it’s always a great look to sport some classic, original Mickey ears.
2. Sunglasses
You know what’s more fun than sunglasses? Disney-themed sunglasses.
Disney’s merch page on their website has a lot of options, and it will add a little pizzazz to your ‘fit.
3. Popsockets
Disney has a couple of awesome Popsocket options if you feel like decking out your phone for the parks.
One of my favorites, is the Lilo and Stitch Popsocket.
It has Stitch on it (obviously) and is made in an enamel form. Disney also carries a lot of cute phone cases.
You can also find some really creative ones on Etsy. Check out your options!
Disney Bounding In June
Something pretty exciting that we haven’t talked about yet, is what’s going on in WDW this June.
From early March through early July, EPCOT hosts its annual International Flower & Garden Festival.
The festival is the most gorgeous display of Disney-inspired topiaries all around EPCOT complete with FANTASTIC and delicious food booths (called Outdoor Kitchens) all throughout the park.
Each country in the World Showcase has at least one booth. You won’t regret checking them out.
With this amazing festival in mind, it can be fun to consider when planning your Disney Bounding outfit.
Choosing Your Disney Bounding Outfit for June
Should you pick one of the characters that will be part of the display in EPCOT’s incredible gardens to inspire your outfit? Not a bad idea.
Think Beauty and the Beast, Elsa or Anna, or even one of the classic favorites like one of Mickey’s original pals.
The fun part about Disney Bounding is that it’s totally up to you. It’s personalized!
I always like to aim for a more subtle look, that includes some nods to my favorite characters, but isn’t a direct costume. It’s Disney Character inspired.
Get yourself a tiara and wear it throughout the parks. Or, maybe pick some shoes that really embody your favorite mouse.

What To Pack For Disney World In June
I have some highly recommended suggestions for what to pack for Disney in June:
1. Sunscreen
This is highly recommended. It is so easy to get a sunburn in Orlando in June. Take my word for it, you do not want to walk around the theme parks with a sunburn.
It’s not only painful, but no one wants to walk around with a bright red sunburn while the sun is still beating down on them.
Use preventative measures and lather up the sunscreen!
Fun Fact: You can even get sunburned when it’s overcast outside.
2. Sunglasses
Protect those eyes!
Disney World is not only extra warm in June, but it’s also oh so bright. Wear those sunnies to protect yourself from the bright sun.
Sport your favorite pair and dazzle the other Disney World-goers.
3. A Hat
You’ll need this to protect your face and scalp from the sun
4. Camera
Most people have a camera on their phones, I know. But nothing beats the memories made on a fun disposable camera!
Pick one up before (or during) your Disney World trip in June!

5. Summer Clothes
Choose the best options to keep you cool as you stroll around the parks, ride rides, and board the monorail.
This includes tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, leggings, and any other summer-friendly clothing.
Consider adding these additional items below to your Disney packing list:
- Bathing Suit
- Sandals & Supportive Athletic Shoes
- A mini umbrella, just in case!

- Be sure to pack a ball cap or some kind of hat to keep the sun off your face and shoulders! (Also, sunscreen!)
