Getting a lunch reservation at Be Our Guest Restaurant maybe the hardest thing to do!
Going to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is a highlight of any vacation to the sprawling Orlando theme park resort, but one thing that’s rarely a highlight at Magic Kingdom is the food.
While there are some hidden gems (hello, Skipper Canteen) it can be a challenge to find really good food in the park that’s not chicken strips or the fan-favorite corn dog nuggets, in a beautiful atmosphere that’s takes you into a world of fantasy and make-believe.
One place that’s at the top of the list to dine at when visiting Magic Kingdom is Be Our Guest Restaurant in the adorable Beauty and the Beast section of Fantasyland.

What is Be Our Guest Restaurant?
Be Our Guest Restaurant is a table service restaurant in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. The restaurant is popular with families, solo travelers, and fans of the movie that inspired the restaurant because of its attention to detail and spectacular service.
I love going to Be Our Guest Restaurant in the late afternoon for lunch just before the restaurant switches over for its dinner service.
It’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Magic Kingdom, and the food is great.

What is the vibe like inside?
From the moment you step over the bridge to the doors of the Beast’s castle you’re transported into the world of Belle and the Beast.
The restaurant has three distinctly different dining rooms all of which are assigned seating at lunch and dinner.
The Grand Ballroom
The biggest dining room is The Grand Ballroom, where you’ll feel like you’re in the ballroom scene with all of the characters from the movie.
Try to sit next to a window if you can because you’ll see magical snow falling outside.
The Castle Gallery
The second dining room is The Castle Gallery. Here a larger-than-life music box of Belle and the Beast dancing takes center stage in the room.
This is the quieter room at lunch because most people want to sit in the ballroom or in the last of the three dining rooms.
The West Wing
For a truly unique dining experience consider dining in The West Wing room, where it’s dark and ominous, but looks just like the movie. In here, you’ll find the enchanted rose, the prince’s portrait, and more.
This is the hardest seat to get in the house, so if you’re dining for lunch you may have to wait for a table, and if you’re dining at dinner and want to eat in here you might need to wait a while before being seated.
How do I get a reservation for Be Our Guest Restaurant?
There are a few ways to secure reservations for Be Our Guest Restaurant. The first is to make a reservation through the My Disney Experience app, or online on the Walt Disney World website.
Both of these are the easiest ways to get reservations.
If you’re unable to get a reservation you can join the walk-up waitlist while inside Magic Kingdom, or go up to the podium at the restaurant and ask if they have any day-of availability.

The current menu at Be Our Guest Restaurant is a lovely prix-fixe three-course menu where you can pick one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert for a set price.
For appetizers diners can choose from traditional French-inspired dishes like French onion soup or a cheese plate.
When entrees are ready to be ordered consider the Filet Mignon, which comes with potatoes, vegetables, a mushroom and garlic puree and a red wine sauce.
The Poulet Rouge Chicken with Asparagus, Petit Potato, Watercress, and Whole-Grain Mustard Sauce is also a good choice.
Dessert here is a flight of three desserts, where you can choose from the Dark Chocolate Truffle, Lemon Jam Macaron, and Chocolate Tart with Grey Stuff.
Both the lunch and dinner menu at Be Our Guest are the same, so there’s no need to worry about missing out on a dish by dining at one time versus another.

Top Tips for Your visit to Be Our Guest Restaurant at Walt Disney World
- Don’t be afraid to ask about sitting in certain dining rooms. Sometimes this can make your wait to be seated longer, but it’s worth it if you want to be certain you or your family have the experience you wanted. If your preferred dining room isn’t available then be kind to the Cast Member and know you can try to get in there another time.
- Try to dine as late in the lunch service as possible. Because the menus are the same for lunch and dinner, dining later in the lunch service will keep you fuller longer while exploring Magic Kingdom. When I do this, we typically just get a snack for dinner around 7:00 p.m., such as corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner or spring rolls from the cart near the entrance to Adventureland.
- If you don’t get a reservation for Be Our Guest, keep checking. Everyone changes plans at some point during their vacation planning for Walt Disney World, which leads to dining reservations getting canceled.
My Final Thoughts for Having Lunch at The Beauty and the Beast Restaurant
Be Our Guest Restaurant is worth fighting for a reservation for. The restaurant is beautifully themed and the food is fantastic!
