1. Morimoto Asia (Disney Springs)
If you’re a true sushi extraordinaire, then you must have heard of Chef Morimoto. AKA the Michelin award winning Japanese sushi chef!
Well, in addition to his world renown sushi restaurants in Napa, CA; Las Vegas, NV; and Philadelphia, PA.
As of 2015, Morimoto Asia touched down in Disney Springs. Which obviously tops the best sushi at Disney World list!
Open for lunch and dinner, Morimoto Asia is a two-story restaurant where you’ll enjoy the traditional Japanese decor and high-end interior design almost as much as the food!
Morimoto guests can choose from 5 different sushi/sashimi platters for larger parties (ranging from $55 – $110), or 8 different sushi rolls ($16 – $19).
You can also get dim sum, a selection of soups, noodles, fried rice, and unique nightly dessert specials like green tea matcha cheesecake.
Oh, and just in case you’re not impressed yet, I can’t forget to mention an EXTENSIVE wine, beer, cocktail, and sake list!

2. Kimonos (Swan Resort)
When it comes to Kimonos, it’s not just me saying that it’s got some of the best sushi at Disney World, they’ve also got awards to back them up!
Like being named Citysearch’s “Best Hotel Bar” and one of Florida Hipster’s “Top 10 Sushi Restaurants in Orlando.”
Sushi lovers will be enamored with the dark teawood, traditional Japanese decor, and obviously, they’ll love the menu even more.
They’ve got specialty cocktails, malt whiskeys, and sakes galore!
Plus they have a great mix of traditional and non-traditional rolls, like the bagel roll and jalapeño roll, just to name a few.
So great sushi, upscale decor…what else could you want? Well, how about sing-along karaoke almost every night?!
Yup! Kimonos is DEFINITELY the perfect balance of traditional Japanese food and culture, spiced up with some modern day twists!

3. Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya (Epcot)
Next up on the list is actually inside a Disney World Park – Epcot! So yes, park admission to Epcot will be needed to enjoy Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya’s delicious sushi selection.
And more specifically, guests who love a simple sushi menu that sticks to the classics will certainly love Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya; especially vegetarian sushi lovers!
The Spicy Tuna Roll, Snow Crab California Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Roll will appeal to traditional sushi lovers.
For those who are looking for a little more adventure, you will love the Tokyo Negi Roll and Kobore Sushi.
The Tokyo Negi Roll is our favorite and comes with green onion tempura rolled with tuna tataki and topped with jalapeño aïoli, shredded carrot, and sliced jalapeño!
And, just like the first two picks on this “best sushi at Disney World list,” the décor is upscale and traditional.
Although keep in mind that Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is inside of Epcot so casual park attire and the hustle and bustle of lots of hungry families should be expected!
So, you’ll want to add this Disney restaurant to your vacation itinerary!

4. Takumi Tei (Epcot)
Another great place to have sushi at Disney is located inside of Epcot, Takumi Tei is for those sushi lovers who don’t mind spending a pretty penny!
Yeah, I’m talking like at least $150 plus per person, before tip.
And although we’ve put this on our best sushi at Disney World list, one of the reasons that Takumi Tei is a guest favorite is because of its diverse menu, which includes wayyyy more than just sushi.
Decadent dishes like duck, Wagyu beef, and a $150 to $250 prix fixe tasting menu make for a difficult ordering decision!
Basically, if you’re eating at Takumi Tei, expect AMAZING Japanese cuisine that goes far beyond your traditional sushi rolls!
In fact, don’t expect your run-of-the-mill California or Spicy Tuna rolls AT ALL. But of course, you don’t just go to Takumi Tei for the amazing, innovative food.

Guests looking for the best sushi at Disney World should only come here if they’re interested in a Spicy Tuna Roll or California Roll – cuz that’s all they got!
Other items available at Kona Island include coffees, cappuccinos, and desserts, which definitely make for a good quick eat option on a chill resort hopping or poolside day.

In fact, believe it or not, Splitsville has 13 different fresh sushi roll options and three different sushi platters – great for…wait for it…SPLITTING!
Basically, if you’re headed to Splitsville, it’s not just for some of the best sushi at Disney World, it’s also for a GREAT TIME!

This classy restaurant is located on the tippy top of the Contemporary Resort, and has floor to ceiling windows that overlook Magic Kingdom, which is especially magical during the nightly firework display.
And of course, a dress code i.e. non-theme park attire, is enforced.
Once you’ve passed the dress code check and have been escorted into the private California Grill-only elevator though, your magical dining experience has only just begun!

What to Know Before You Go Walt Disney World
Let’s now go through the most commonly asked questions when it comes to dining at Disney World.
What if I have severe allergies or dietary restrictions?
Whether you’re concerned about eating at one of these sushi restaurants at Disney World, or just on Disney property in general, our message is the same: fear not!
Disney World is famous for being the MOST accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions.
So long as you inform your server at the beginning of the meal, the staff will work with you to ensure you can dine enjoyably and safely!
Believe it or not, even though you might think Disney World chefs are extremely busy, it’s not out of the norm for them to come visit your table to discuss your dietary concerns with you.
That way you can enjoy your delicious meal with peace of mind!

I’m new to eating sushi – what is the best sushi at Disney World for me to try?!
Brand new to the sushi game, ThemeParkHipster? I love to hear it!
Typically first time sushi adventurers go for the California Roll since it’s got the most tame ingredients.
Namely white rice, sesame seeds, crab or imitation crab, seaweed, and avocado.
And don’t fear! Even though seaweed and crab/imitation crab are part of the ingredients, there’s no “overly” fishy or yucky seafood taste!
Trust me when I say it’s the perfect introductory sushi roll.

Top 3 Disney Dining Tips for Your Visit
We know that getting that perfect Disney Dining reservation can be frustrating. So here’s our favorite tips and tricks!
1. Reserve 2 months in advance, when possible
Yup, that’s right. Disney accepts reservations 60 days in advance, and a lot of Disney fans take advantage of that fact, so you should too!
Log into your My Disney Experience App 60 days in advance to start reserving!
2. Make More Reservations than You Need!
Ok, so this one is a little selfish, but hear me out. You can make AS MANY Disney Dining reservations as you want up to 24 hours before your visit.
Then, once you’re within that 24 hour window, you will be charged a late cancellation fee/no show fee if you don’t attend.
So my advice?
If you’re stuck between a few different restaurant options during your trip, make multiple reservations 60 days in advance, and then cancel the ones you don’t want as you solidify your plans.
As long as you do so more than 24 hours in advance of the reservation, there’s no penalty!

3. Keep checking back!
Can’t find the reservation you wanted? Don’t fret, simply check the My Disney Experience App or Disney Dining website frequently, because they both update in real time.
Meaning if someone cancels a reservation, you’ll see it immediately and can snag it!
Additionally, check different times and party amounts. Really want to eat at 1 p.m. for a party of 3? Check 1:15 p.m. for a party of 4.
Oftentimes minor changes like this open up new reservation availability that you never saw before!
