What is a Single Rider Line at Disney World?
The Disney World Single Rider Line is a dedicated queue for people who are traveling alone or for small groups who don’t mind being split up to ride.
This Single Rider Line usually goes through about half of the regular queue and you don’t get to see every part of the queue.
If it’s your first time on a new attraction, I would not suggest getting into the Single Rider Line because you won’t know the entire story line of the ride.
Plus, there are a lot of fun things to look at in many of the lines.
On the other hand, if you’ve been on a ride like Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park multiple times and you just want to get to the ride faster, the Single Rider Line is the way to go.
You should also know that just because a ride has a Single Rider Line doesn’t necessarily mean you should use it.
Often times for attractions like Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Single Rider Line can be just as long or longer than the regular stand-by line.

Who can use the Single Rider Line at Disney World?
Anyone can use the Single Rider Lines at Walt Disney World.
They are not an extra charge, and even if you’re not traveling as an actual single rider, the Cast Members at the entrance to the queue aren’t going to stop you.
You should know before getting in line that if you are traveling with a friend or a small group, you may be split up over multiple ride vehicles depending on how many seats need to be filled.

What attractions have a single rider line at Disney World?
Three of the four Walt Disney World theme parks have attractions that have a Single Rider Line (the Magic Kingdom currently does not have this option available).
Now let’s go over which rides at Disney World have Single Rider Lines in details.
Epcot Single Rider Lines
At Epcot Test Track is the only option. Test Track is by far one of the most popular among fans at Epcot to ride.
Test Track
This attraction rarely ceases to have long wait times and many rope drop the park specifically for this ride.
You can now design your own cars in the Chevrolet Design Studio and with your designs connected to their RFID Magicbands.
You are able to test your car on the tracks based on efficiency, capability, responsiveness and power.
On this ride, Single Riders who are part of a group could be in the same car just in different rows, but that’s not guaranteed.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Single Rider Lines
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios both Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run have a Single Rider Line.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
The attraction takes you on a whirlwind journey through Los Angeles as you make your way to an Aerosmith concert.
The coaster is one of the fastest rides at Walt Disney World, reaching speeds of 60 miles per hour in just a few seconds.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
One of the newest attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, located inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The simulator attraction allows you and a group of other people to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.
While pilot is always the preferred position inside the cockpit of the Falcon, there are two other jobs to do, including gunner and engineer.
Hipster Power Tip: If you want the coveted pilot seat on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, you’ll want to consider getting in the regular stand-by line since it’s rare that singles get this spot in the cockpit.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park you’ll find the Single Rider line for Expedition Everest just past the exit for the attraction.
Expedition Everest
Looming over the trees and lagoon in the middle of the park’s Asia section is Expedition Everest.
This rollercoaster attraction takes riders up the Forbidden Mountain to encounter the legendary yeti.
There is usually a Cast Member posted outside and can let you know what the wait times are here.
This is usually the fastest Single Rider Line at Walt Disney World since there are so many seats on the ride cars and they start climbing to Mount Everest every few minutes.

When is the best time to use the Single Rider line at Disney?
The best time to use the Single Rider line is at the beginning of the day or at the end of the day.
Not only will you save time by walking through a shorter queue, there’s likely going to be less people in the regular line so you’ll get on the attraction faster.
Most of the attractions that utilize the Single Rider Line are roller coasters or use ride vehicles that have an even number of seats.
So, you will be paired up with a small group or one other rider from another party.

When is the worst time to use the Single Rider line?
Never use the Single Rider line in the middle of the afternoon when the parks are the busiest.
This is when the line for single riders and the regular stand-by line are often the same wait and sometimes the Single Rider Line can be longer than the posted wait time.
On some attractions there are posted wait times for single riders, so be sure to check both wait times to see which one will be faster and more efficient for you.
Especially since you can get more done in your day at the parks.
Easy Tips to Remember for Single Riders Going to Disney World
