What You Can Expect at Melia Orlando Hotel
You can expect top-notch service. Beautiful views. Delicious food. Melia Orlando Suite Hotel is not famous for nothing.
It has been hosting all manner of Disney-goers and thrill-seekers since 2008. It has over 240 suites– usually one-bedroom or two-bedroom.
First Impression
Each room has a glorious view– either of the vanishing edge pool or the stunning landscape of Orlando.
They are minimalistic but stylish and very comfortable if the reviews are to be believed.
You also get a kitchenette, bathroom and my favorite– an LCD flat-screen TV. Talk about sitting in the lap of luxury!
But what really sets Melia apart is its service. Guests always feel cared for, even pampered. The staff is very attentive and efficient.
Many guests mention the staff fondly by name in their reviews. I’m sure even the most hard-to-please people will have nothing to complain about.
What’s NEW at Melia?
The Melia Celebration Orlando is leveling up its amenities with Over the Edge Experiences, where you can try urban rappelling off a 5-story building!
This fun experience and all the cool upgrades are available to everyone—not just hotel guests.
Celebrate special moments, host a super unique wedding reception, or plan a group outing for work or friends.
Rappeling in Orlando
The Melia has some cool extras, like four-course meal deals, champagne toasts for different prices, and a romantic date night package.
This full experience gives you a controlled climb down five stories with a fully insured crew at this awesome hotel—perfect for those looking to give rappelling a shot before tackling steeper cliffs and mountains.
Plus, companies can organize charity events where employees get to rappel once they hit their fundraising goals, all at the Melia!
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, you can reschedule or get in touch with Over the Edge for other options.

Melia Orlando Shuttle Service
But the cherry on top, without doubt, is Melia Orlando Suite Hotel’s prime location.
It is just three miles away from Walt Disney World Resort and has a shuttle bus that helps you get to the Magic Kingdom.
It also provides free transportation to other theme parks nearby like SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Studios.
In case theme parks don’t interest you (although I don’t know how someone could not be interested in them), Melia Orlando Suite Hotel also has heaps of other activities you can indulge in.
They have a partnership with the nearby Celebration Recreation Center. You can play golf (they have a beautiful golf course) or hit the gym.
Many guests also recommend sight-seeing around the Celebration Village.
The famous ‘Now Snowing Nightly’ event (that only occurs every December) has been especially talked about in hushed revered tones.
The Ambience of the Hotel
Although the hotel is just a few miles away from the heart of Orlando, it’s surrounded by green vistas and fresh, clean air.
You get all the advantages of being near the city without actually being near the city.
Melia Orlando Suite Hotel is near Celebration– a planned community created by Disney itself.
Celebration has been called one of America’s top ten “Prettiest Neighborhoods” by Forbes Magazine.
You can only imagine how pretty a hotel in such a neighborhood would be.
Melia Orlando Suite Hotel can classify as a boutique hotel– it is personal (for a big hotel) and tasteful. The decorations are minimalistic and nature beckons at every corner.
Overall, the hotel feels luxurious but comforting at the same time– a very thin line to walk.
It also has a few resort-like features including an unprecedented number of palm trees, a vanishing edge pool and spa facilities.
Melia Orlando Suite Hotel can be your own personal oasis.

Types of Rooms Available at Melia Orlando
Melia Orlando Suite Hotel is mainly an all-suite hotel– meaning most of the rooms in this hotel are suites.
That means each suite ‘room’ has a kitchen, bedroom, living room and balcony/patio.
As you can probably tell, the rooms are super-spacious. They also threw in a fully-equipped kitchen, full-sized fridge and even dishes.
All suites have a 43-inch LCD flat-screen TV (for red-wine-induced movie nights), a work desk and the supremely essential coffee-maker.
And don’t worry your pretty little head about mundane stuff like laundry. They have a quality laundry service you can entrust even the most delicate clothes to.
Now, let’s talk about my favorite part of the suites– the bedrooms.
The beds are made of soft Egyptian cotton and super-comfortable down comforters. Just talking about the bed is making me relaxed and sleepy (and I literally just had coffee.)
You can get a one-bedroom or two-bedroom suite depending on whether or not you travel alone. Keep in mind that the rooms have a couch that folds out into a queen bed.
All-in-all, there are eight types of suites you can reserve:
- Classic room
- One-bedroom Suite
- Two-bedroom Suite
- Two-bedroom Family Suite
- One-bedroom Pool View Suite
- Two-bedroom Pool View Suite
- Two-bedroom Master Suite (master suite = it’s bigger)
- Two-bedroom Master Suite Pool View Room

Hotel Amenities
Now to the fun bit. If you’re bored with Disney (although, how could you possibly be?), then there are many other activities you can enjoy.
There is the 360-degree infinity edge pool, of course, which is central to Melia Orlando Suite Hotel (quite literally).
You can swim around, sunbathe, have drinks– basically pretend you’re in a resort (which you kind of are in). There’s also a Jacuzzi for those who like the water warmer.
You can also pop over to the Wellness Suite or the Celebration Health Fitness Center and Spa for relaxing massages, a quick workout or a good mud soak.
The best part is that if you’re tired (or lazy), you can get a car to pick you up from the gym or the spa.
You can also head to the Celebration Golf Course. You cannot find a greener landscape or more perfectly trimmed hedges.
Many people just come here to take a Golf Vacation– that’s how beautiful this course is.
And then there’s the bar. But I’m sure you can find it by yourself.
Distance to the Theme Parks and Other Important Places (Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, Airport)
Location is a very important part of Melia Orlando Suite Hotel’s appeal. Since it is in Orlando– the capital of theme parks, it needs to be close to them to offer good value.
And I am happy to announce that it is super-close to all your favorite theme parks!
- 3 miles away from Walt Disney World
- 9 miles away from SeaWorld
- 13 miles away from Universal Studios
- 20 miles away from the Airport
The hotel provides free transportation to all theme parks that leaves and returns at certain times each day.
You will have to pay an extra $36.32 for hotel fees per night that include shuttle services, Wi-Fi and parking (note that you should contact Melia Orlando Suite Hotel for all prices).
Dining Options
You might want to neglect the fully furnished kitchen in your room. The chefs at Melia Orlando Suite Hotel really know their stuff.
Melia Orlando Suite Hotel’s famous restaurant is called The Wilson.
It combines the very distinctive palates of French, Mediterranean and American cuisine to produce exceedingly yummy results.
You can have a quiet, romantic dinner there, watch the match with your mates or just order room service. Either way, the food will be mouth-watering.
A huge bonus is the resident Mixologist. The Mixologist creates new delightful cocktails that you can sample– if you dare. Who knows, you may find your OTD (One True Drink).
If you are bored of staying in the hotel, you can also hop over to Celebration Town Center (easy transportation) and have your pick of the restaurants there!
If you really want to get creative then you can cook yourself (and maybe your boo) a meal in your very own fully-stocked kitchen.
You can then enjoy the meal on your balcony, which I’m sure will have a great view.
Or you could order room service…. (you are on vacation after all).
Hipster Power Tip: Don’t miss out on Happy Hour at the Hotel Bar each evening.
Melia Hotel Orlando Review
Overall, I had a wonderful 3-day staycation at this Orlando hotel. The room was spacious for me (and any other solo traveler), and the area was quiet which is all I could ask for on my trip.
The hotel is a nice place for the price and it’s a prime location for things to do in Orlando.
It’s within a 10-minute drive to Walt Disney World, Old Town, Downtown Celebration, and the Orlando Premium Outlet Mall.
Melia is also an Orlando pet friendly hotel with the cute, but small dog park located on the hotel property.
My room had a full-size kitchen complete with a dish washer, glasses, pots, pans, plates, bowls, and silverware.
My only issue was that some of the crevices in the kitchen at the bottom of the refrigerator could’ve used a bit more cleaning.
However, everything was sanitized with all the essentials (silverware and remote controller) being wrapped in plastic confirming that it was disinfected.

So…What did you think about this unique Orlando hotel?
I don’t know about you but I can imagine sunbathing on the side of their infinity side pool already!
Here are a few tips before you check-in:
- Do NOT miss the breakfast– it is heavenly
- You can bring your dog! Yay!! (you should confirm this with the hotel beforehand)
- You get complimentary chocolates and (if you’re lucky) complimentary drinks too!
Walt Disney World’s Good Neighbor Hotels website (yes, that’s actually a thing) described Melia Orlando Suite Hotel At Celebration in the best way possible: “Luxury and location fuse together here.”
You can spend all day at Disney with the crowds, but when you get back, you can enjoy a quiet swim under the stars and a warm comforting dinner after.
Now, that’s what I call a true getaway.
