With more than 75 chilling items to choose from, you’ll take a haunted trek through all the different cuisines offered which will highlight the unique ways the ghoulish flavors are brought together.
If you’re like me, then you’re excited to taste and experience the incredible food the Team Members at Universal have conjured together.
Just know that Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) will run from September 1st through November 4th 2023!

This year you’ll get to eat your way around Halloween Horror Nights with the all-new food & beverage items.

New this year is the Halloween Horror Nights Taste of Terror! This fun experience will allow you to preview the HHN food for this year’s event.

Now we’re to the good part…the food!
Let’s first start with the savory food at Halloween Horror Nights 2023 before we get into the sweet treats, cocktails and hotel offerings.
1. Surfer Boy French Bread Pizza (Located at Gramercy Park)
This delicious French bread style pizza comes with crispy Spam, pineapple chutney, jalapeno, scallions and mozzarella.
There’s also a vegan option available with vegan sausage crumble and vegan mozzarella.

This comes with fried popcorn chicken tossed in Nashville sauce, drizzled with ranch, topped with scallions and chili threads.
Make sure you get it while it’s nice and warm so you can get the best experience!

The Vegan Walking Taco was one of the big hits at the Halloween Horror Nights Taste of Terror preview event.
It comes with Fritos Chips topped with vegan chorizo, shredded mozzarella, roasted corn salsa, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce and cilantro.

6. Left Behind Ravioli (Located at Sting Alley)
This was a surprise hit for me when I tried them this year.
All of the flavors married each other so well as the mini cheese ravioli with marinara, truffle cream and tempura fried emoki mushrooms flavors danced happily in my mouth!

- Cordyceps Corndog: Korean cheese dog with cordyceps, crispy potato sticks, truffle cream sauce and daikon sprouts
- The Infected Tater: Fried spiralized potato with mushroom emulsion and porcini powder
- Twisted Tater: Fried spiralized ribbon potato, thinly sliced and skewered, seasoned with your choice of:

7. Burnt Ends Poutine (Located at Gramercy Park Yeti Booth)
With this dish you’ll get crispy fries topped with beefless burnt ends gravy, vegan cheese and scallions.
So far it has been a hit with HHN fans and it’s one of the best things to eat at Halloween Horror Nights this year.
8. Mutilated Pork Loin
This Halloween Horror Nights food features a slow smoked applewood bacon wrapped pork loin, roasted root hash with fig and pear and red wine demi with assorted rolls.
I know your mouth is drooling just reading all of the ingredients in this dish!

If you have a sweet tooth, then you’ll looove the dessert options at HHN 32 listed below.
9. Pumpkin Dulce De Leche Puff (Located at Today Cafe)
This sweet treat comes with pumpkin and dulce de leche filled puff topped with whipped ganache, pumpkin seeds and gold accents.
It’s one of my favorite things to eat at Halloween Horror Nights because it was moist with a balance of pumpkin flavor and not too sweet.

10. Hellfire Mini Cake (Located at San Francisco Pastry Co.)
This mini cake was also a hit during the HHN food preview event.
It’s layered chocolate cake, with a mango cayenne filling, topped with a chocolate guitar. Soooo good!

This is an easy to eat snack while you’re walking around HHN 32.
It comes with fried flour crisps and seasoned to perfection with cinnamon sugar.
13. Graveyard Mini Cake (Located at the Croissant Moon)
This was my absolute favorite dessert when I previewed it at the Taste of Terror.
It looks like it’s going to be hard but there was a soft crunch on the layered Oreo cake.
I also loved the double chocolate cream cheese filling that was topped with a chocolate tombstone.

21. Electric Death
The Electric Death was by far one of the strongest drinks I tried during the HHN food preview event.
It was sweet but not as sweet as the Ghoul Juice so it had a good balance.
It comes with New Amsterdam Gin, blue curaçao, lime juice, vanilla bean, simple syrup, pineapple juice and Dale Degroff’s Pimento Bitters.

- Vamp ’69: Summer of Blood: The 1960s music fest has landed in a small New York town and while you’re partying it up with popular bands, Dr. Oddfellow is quietly waiting to release ravenous vampires upon you.

Are Kids allowed at Halloween Horror Nights?
According to Universal, this event may be too intense for young children. Adult discretion is strongly advised. There are no child ticket prices available for this event.

Halloween Horror Nights Food Through the Years
Because I’m an HHN foodie, I want to show you some of the best dishes crafted by Universal over the years.
Major Sweets Ice Cream Sandwich (inspired by “Sweet Revenge” scare zone) and Maggot Covered Cheese Dog (inspired by “Bugs: Eaten Alive” original haunted house)
Major Sweets Ice Cream Sandwich Halloween treat featured candy-corn sugar cookies filled with sweet corn ice cream (vegetarian) and was one of the best things to eat at Halloween Horror Nights 2022.
The Maggot Covered Cheese Dog was a Korean-style hot dog with fresh mozzarella, rolled in puffed rice, topped with gochujang drizzle and black sesame seeds.

Garlic Philly Cheese “Stake” and Fried Zombie Brains
This Philly Cheese “Stake” was a savory tender shaved beef served on a black hoagie slider roll with caramelized onions, peppers, sautéed mushrooms, muenster cheese sauce and roasted garlic aioli.
Don’t let the bloody display fool you at Meetz Meats!
The Fried Zombie Brains was a unique HHN foodie experience that includes fried cauliflower florets tossed in spicy gochujang sauce and garnished with toasted sesame seeds and scallions (vegan).
Petrified Rat Tails and Pizza Skull
What’s better than funnel fries with creamy crab dip, sliced scallions and seasoned with herbs and spices. Sounds too weird for you?
That’s what we got with the Petrified Rat Tails!
The Pizza Skull was one of the winners for HHN 31. This unique Pizza Skull comes with Pepperoni and cheese stuffed skulls served with a refreshing marinara dipping sauce.

My Final Thoughts on the Halloween Horror Nights Food and Drinks
As you can see, this year’s Halloween Horror Nights Orlando food menu is going to have some heavy hitters!
You’re really going to have a great time, so try not to stress too much if you find yourself spending too much time at the food booths instead of in the houses.
